What do you pay once?
- The machine. O'2Nails V11 at C$2,999, or O'2Nails X12.5 at C$5,999.
- A launch package that comes with it. The V11 includes 5 genuine O'2Nails cartridges. The X12.5 includes 10. Both also include base gel and topcoat, a curing lamp, an electric nail drill, an accessory kit with practice nails, and design library access.
- Training and support at no extra cost. Video tutorials, a 30-minute onboarding call and lifetime email support come with either machine (training).
- A 90-day returns and a 1-year warranty. You get 90-day returns, with free return shipping within Canada and the continental US. The warranty covers parts and labour on manufacturing defects for 1 year and is serviced by NailPrinter.ca in North America (warranty). Product shipping is free worldwide.
Is the O'2Nails app or design library a subscription?
No subscription is listed for either. The V11 product page shows "$0 monthly software fee: the design app is included". The X12.5 product page shows "$0 monthly software fee: the design library is included".
- V11: you run it from the O'2Nails app on your phone (iOS or Android). The machine has no touchscreen.
- X12.5: your team or your clients tap the built-in 10.1-inch touchscreen.
- Both connect to the O'2Nails design library, which O'2Nails updates with new styles. You download designs to the device and build your own gallery of go-to looks. Our training videos cover downloading designs from the Nail Style Store, downloading a pattern with a code, and building your own design gallery.
You need the internet to download new designs. You don't need it to finish a print once the design is on the device. Your phone or the X12.5 only has to reach the printer on a normal salon network (Wi-Fi setup, how to use the O'2Nails app).
Can you use your own designs and photos?
Yes. Both machines print from the built-in library or any photo. O'2Nails calls this the DIY printing function: pick a picture from your phone or tablet album, crop and size it to the nail in the app, then print.
- A client's pet, a monogram, a wedding date or your own artwork all work. Sharp files with strong contrast print best. See can a nail printer print your own photo and photo nails as a salon service.
- Only print images you have permission to use. Logos and characters often need a licence: logos, characters and photos on nails.
Are you "locked into" the maker's app?
- True: the printer runs on O'2Nails software: the app on your phone for the V11, or the app on the X12.5's screen. It prints with genuine O'2Nails SM10 cartridges, and third-party ink can void the warranty.
- Not true: that you can only print the maker's designs. The library is a starting point. Your own photos, artwork and client images print the same way.
So it works like most professional salon equipment. The machine and its consumables belong to one system, but the designs you print are your choice.
What keeps costing money after you buy?

Is paying for the machine over time a subscription?
No. If you'd rather spread the cost, you can choose Affirm or Shop Pay Installments at checkout where they're offered. These are installment credit products for the machine price, not a fee to keep using it. Approval isn't guaranteed, and the provider shows your schedule, rate and total before you accept. Does a nail printer have a monthly fee?
There's no monthly fee to print with an O'2Nails V11 or X12.5 from NailPrinter.ca. Our product pages list a $0 monthly software fee. Your ongoing costs are ink cartridges and gels.
Is the O'2Nails design library included?
Yes. The O'2Nails app and design library are included with both machines, and O'2Nails adds new styles regularly. Printing your own photos and artwork is included too.
Can I print my own designs on a nail printer?
Yes. Both the V11 and X12.5 print any photo or design you import through the O'2Nails app, as well as designs from the library. Use sharp, high-contrast images you have permission to use.
Do I need the internet to print?
You need it to download new designs. Once a design is on the device, printing only needs your phone or the X12.5 to reach the printer on the same local network.
What do I keep buying after the machine?
SM10 ink cartridges and O'2Nails gels (base, print gel, top gel). You buy them when you need them, one pack at a time.
Can I use cheaper third-party ink?
Our warranty excludes damage from third-party ink, and using it can void the warranty. See are off-brand O'2Nails cartridges safe.
