Setup that actually works

  1. Same LAN as the phone or tablet — not the client guest SSID that blocks device-to-device traffic.
  2. 2.4 GHz is the usual safe band in old salons. Fancy mesh is fine if isolation is off.
  3. If the app sees the printer and then dies, it is usually captive portal or a VLAN, not a broken head.
