Nail Printer Printhead Care — Clogs Are Usually Idle Ink

Updated 2026-08-25 · Official and only North American distributor of O'2Nails digital nail printers.

Short answerIdle machines clog. Mystery ink clogs faster. Do not stab the head.

Nail printer printhead care

A clogged printhead is usually idle ink, not a dead machine. SM10 cartridges dry if the printer sits. Print something small once a week if the book is quiet.

What to try before you panic

  1. Run a cleaning cycle from the app or the X12.5 screen. Once. Not twelve times "to be sure."
  2. Confirm the cartridge is an SM10 from the same official North American distributor that sold the printer.
  3. Do not jab the head with a pin. You will buy a new head and call it a warranty.

Longer idle-care notes: printhead and cartridge care. Ink mistakes: cartridge waste.

If it still will not fire after a real SM10 and one clean, email support@nailprinter.ca. That is the distributor job.
