Salon Buy-Back Guarantee — Terms & Conditions

This document is the formal version of the offer summarised on our Programs page. If anything below is unclear, email hello@nailprinter.ca before you order — we’d rather answer questions in advance than disappoint you later.
1. Who’s eligible
- The buyer must be a licensed nail salon, beauty school, or spa operating in Canada or the United States.
- The salon must employ or contract at least one full-time nail tech at the time of purchase.
- The salon must use a point-of-sale or appointment-booking system that records per-service ticket data (Square, Vagaro, Boulevard, Fresha, Mindbody, GlossGenius, Booker, or comparable). Printed paper tickets are also acceptable so long as a 90-day rollup is available.
- The order must include at least one of the following printers, on a single order, with a printer-line subtotal of $1,499 CAD or more before tax and shipping: O’2Nails X11 Plus, X12.5, V12, or the Salon Starter Kit.
2. What “custom-art add-on revenue” means
The dollar amount of nail-art services billed in addition to a base manicure or pedicure. Examples that count: hand-painted designs, decals, charms, French tips, ombré, chrome, foil, custom logos. Examples that do NOT count: the base manicure itself, gel polish refills, soak-offs, paraffin treatments, retail sales of polish or files, tip extensions without art.
3. How the math works
- Within 7 days of delivery, you submit a one-page baseline form listing your custom-art add-on revenue for the 90 calendar days before delivery. This is the “before” number.
- You and NailPrinter co-sign the baseline number by email. That email is the canonical record.
- Day 90 after delivery, you submit the same one-page form for the 90 calendar days after delivery. This is the “after” number.
- If
after < 2 × before, you’re eligible to claim the buy-back. Email hello@nailprinter.ca with subject “Buy-back claim” and attach the form.
4. What happens when you claim
- NailPrinter confirms the “after” numbers (we may ask for a screenshot of the corresponding period from your POS or booking system).
- We arrange a free return pickup with a Canadian or US courier, normally within 5 business days.
- The printer must ship back in the original box (or equivalent protective packaging) in working condition. Normal salon wear & tear is fine; physical damage from drops, liquid spills, or unauthorised repairs is not.
- Once we receive and inspect the printer, we refund the full printer price (the line item) to the original payment method within 7 business days.
- You keep any cartridges, Nail Guard stickers, or accessories you already opened — we don’t want them back, and they’re yours.
5. What we ask of you in exchange
This guarantee is a partnership, not a free trial of an expensive box. To claim it, you must complete both of the following before day 60:
- The 30-minute team-onboarding call in week 1 (we book this with you the day your printer ships). Every tech who will use the machine attends.
- The 30-minute pricing-strategy call in week 3 (we book this with the salon owner only).
If neither call happens before day 60 because of the salon’s schedule, we’ll extend the calls and the 90-day window by the same amount. If the calls don’t happen because the salon declined them, the guarantee is void — we can’t back a result we weren’t allowed to help create.
6. Things this guarantee doesn’t cover
- Printers used in personal homes, mobile setups without a fixed business address, or pop-up bookings (those have their own 45-day in-salon trial — see refund policy).
- Cartridges, stickers, or other consumables. Those are subject to the standard 90-day defect warranty.
- Damage caused by misuse, dropped machines, liquid intrusion, or attempts to use third-party (non-O’2Nails) ink.
- Salons that close, change ownership, or stop operating during the 90-day window for reasons unrelated to the printer.
7. Stackability with other policies
The buy-back guarantee is in addition to (not instead of):
- The 45-day in-salon risk-free trial (full refund within 45 days, for any reason).
- The manufacturer’s 1-year (or 3-year VIP on X12.5) warranty on the printer hardware.
- The 90-day warranty on cartridges and accessories.
You may use the 45-day trial without affecting your buy-back guarantee. If you use the buy-back, the manufacturer warranty obviously closes with the return.
8. Limit of liability
The maximum refund under this guarantee is the printer line-item price you paid (excluding tax, shipping, financing fees, cartridges, accessories, and any third-party app or service fees). NailPrinter’s total liability under the guarantee is capped at that printer line-item price. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost staff time, or consequential damages.
9. Disputes
If you and NailPrinter disagree on whether you qualify, we’ll start with a phone call with our team lead to walk through the numbers. If that doesn’t resolve it, the dispute is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and may be brought in the courts of that province.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update these terms for new orders, but the version of the terms attached to your order at the time of purchase is the version that governs your guarantee. The current version’s effective date is at the top of this page.
