Yesterday I argued that print speed is the wrong number to buy a nail printer on. Today I did the follow-up work: I sat down and ran 30 days of booking math for a typical salon, line by line, to answer the question that lands in our inbox more than any other. Which machine — the $2,999 V11 or the $5,999 X12.5? The spec sheets won't settle it. Your appointment book will.
What does 30 days of booking math actually look like?
Here's the model, so you can argue with it. Say your salon runs 40 art-eligible appointments a week — gel fills, full sets, anything a client could add printed art onto. Say one in four clients takes the add-on when it's offered well. That's 10 printed sets a week, about 43 a month.

At even 5 sets a week you're there in about 29 weeks, still within the year, and everything after that is margin your current booking book was leaving on the table.
The V11 is the answer for a solo tech, a mobile operator, or a small salon where one or two chairs feed the machine. It's app-controlled and pocket-footprint, so it travels — which matters right now, because back-to-school season is exactly when parents book group appointments and teens want a design their friends don't have.
